Rigorous Adjustment of Undifferenced GNSS Observables

The rigorous adjustment of undifferenced observables is a key issue in the development of the advanced and sophisticated software products of Geo++. The use of undifferences observables requires the modeling of clocks and hardware biases. From the knowledge of these, generally as useless nuisance parameters considered, GNSS information arise prominent advantages for all GNSS applications.

The separation of GNSS error components is straight forward while taken clocks and hardware biases into account. One observable also relate to exactly one satellite and hence algorithms and models can easily be set up to describe physical behavior of signal propagations without the tiny management of differenced observations. Differencing of observation actually removes important information inherent in the clock and hardware bias information. By contrast, the adjustment of undifferenced observables results in a complete variance-covariance matrix, which carries all information and correlations from the processing flow.

Consequently, Geo++ handles clocks as well as biases between signals and GNSS systems optimal in a simultaneous, rigorous multi-signal, multi-system, multi-station adjustment for the benefit of precise modeling and accounting for all acting effects on GNSS signals to provide the best estimate for positioning.
